Frequently Asked Questions Spring, 2023
1) What is the registration schedule for the Spring season?
Early registration begins on January 1, 2023 and ends on January 31, 2023 ($100 per child)
Regular registration runs from February 1, 2023 through February 18th ($120 per child)
Player evaluations will be held on Saturday, February 18th for ages 7 and up. No evaluations for age 5 and 6 year olds.
***We can't guarantee placement after February 19th. We will do our best to find a spot for your child to play. If a child can't be placed, a full refund will be provided.***
2) What ages are available for play?
Generally, our league starts at age 5 (older 4 year olds may qualify to play) and continues through those students currently in 8th grade.
3) Are teams co-ed?
Yes. All teams include both boys and girls in our recreational divisions.
4) How many days of practice per week?
One. We generally have one 1 hour practice per week during the season. It is normally held on a weeknight. If you have specific nights that you can or can't practice, please make sure to note it on your registration form.
5) How many games per week?
One. For the regular season, we will have 1 game per week on Saturdays. Once the regular season is completed, our older age divisions (ages 7+) will begin a tournament that may include both weeknight and weekend games.
6) When does the season start?
Practices for ages 7 and above will begin the week of February 27th. KickStart practice (ages 6 and under) will begin after Spring Break.
First scrimmage for ages 7 and above will be held on Saturday, March 4th.
First official games (all ages) will be held on Saturday, March 25th
No games, Saturday, March 11th or Saturday, March 18th (Spring Break)
No games, Saturday, April 8th (Easter weekend. Rain-out make up day only)
Regular season will end on Saturday, May 6th
Tournament season will run from Monday, May 8th through Saturday, May 20th
7) How much does the fundraiser cost?
Zero. At this time, our local and community sponsors allow us to keep our fees low without having a fundraiser. If you or someone you know would like to help support our organization, please fill out the form under the Sponsor Opportunities tab.
8) What is provided with the registration fee?
All players will receive a team jersey and an end of season medal or trophy. Socks and shorts will be available for separate purchase or players may provide their own.
9) Where do practices and games take place?
All soccer activities take place at Jack Spence Stadium location just North of Huffman Elementary School near the bus parking lot.
10) What is the oldest age that is allowed?
We generally allow those kids that are still in 8th grade (14 years old) that compete with our league.
11) Do you offer sibling discounts?
Yes. Families registering more one child for a season will receive a 20% discount off of each registration fee. Simply register and pay as normal and we will provide a partial refund to your original form of payment.
12) Can we request a coach or player to be on our team?
We do allow parents to make coach or carpooling requests. However, we do not guarantee that those requests can be fulfilled.
13) Who coaches the teams?
All of our youth programs are coached by local parents. There is no experience necessary. We will provide coach's training and a weekly curriculum to follow for each of our age divisions. Please fill out the coaches application for more information.
14) For the Spring, 2023 season, when will games be held?
